The war for Nexus Ultima isn’t just fought on the tabletop—it’s forged in paint, plastic, and pure creativity.

To better celebrate the hobby heroes of our community (and not just the battlefield commanders), we’re proud to announce a multi-category painting contest running alongside our Warhammer 40,000: Nexus Ultima One-Day Campaign!

This contest is open to:

• Nexus Ultima event players, and
  
  

• Non-players who register specifically to participate in the painting contest
  
  

Whether you’re entering a single centerpiece model or showing off your entire force, you can submit to one category—or all of them (with one special exception noted below).

Painting Contest Categories

Best Painted Army (Event Players Only)

• Single entrant with a fully painted army
  
  

• Must be at least Battle Ready Standard
  
  

• Army must match a 1000pt list submitted for the event
  
  

Best Painted Hero

• Single Hero model
  
  

• Must be on an 80mm base or smaller
  
  

• Painted to Battle Ready Standard or better
  
  

Best Painted Monster & Machine

• Single Monster or Vehicle
  
  

• Painted and based to Battle Ready Standard
  
  

• Basing required for vehicles only if the model includes a base
  
  

Best Painted Battleline

• One fully painted and based Battleline unit
  
  

• Must meet Battle Ready Standard
  
  

Best Painted Support Unit

• One non-Character, non-Battleline unit
  
  

• Must include 2 or more models
  
  

• Fully painted and based to Battle Ready Standard
  
  

Best Painted Conversion

• Any single model or unit featuring conversions
  
  

• Conversions may include kitbashing, 3D printed parts, or both
  
  

• Must be painted and based to Battle Ready Standard

• All entries must be official Warhammer 40,000 models
  
  

• All models must be thematically appropriate to the Nexus Ultima campaign
  
  

• No entry fee – no purchase required
  
  

• Participants may enter multiple categories

Judging Period:
Friday–Sunday, February 20th–22nd
