Warhammer 40,000 Hobby Academy – Fall 2025
Build • Paint • Play • Conquer!
NOV 5TH - NOV 29TH
Are you ready to dive headfirst into the worlds of the 41st Millennium? Whether you’ve never picked up a hobby knife before or you’ve dabbled but never gone all-in, our 4-week Warhammer 40,000 Hobby Academy will guide you from sprue to battlefield glory!
Over the course of four action-packed sessions, you’ll learn everything you need to know to assemble your army, bring them to life with paint and bases, and finally lead them into battle. All you’ll need is a brand-new Combat Patrol (purchased before class) to start your journey—there’s no additional fee to participate!
The journey begins! We’ll cover the basics of assembling your first miniatures—from safe use of hobby clippers, knives, and mouldline removers to choosing the right glue for the job. Once your models are ready, we’ll head outdoors for a safe and smooth priming session to prepare them for paint. Expect to leave this class with your first Hero and unit ready for action!
It’s time to splash some color onto the grim darkness of the far future! You’ll learn painting approaches like Base & Quick paints, Slap Chop, and Overbrushing—designed to get models table-ready without stress. We’ll share tips and tricks to make painting fun, fast, and frustration-free, no matter your skill level.
A miniature’s base tells a story, and now it’s time to tell yours. We’ll explore texture paints, rocks, tufts, and more to create a setting for your warriors—whether it’s a war-torn cityscape, alien jungle, or scorched battlefield. Learn safe handling of basing materials and techniques to make your minis truly stand out.
The moment you’ve been working toward—your first Warhammer 40,000 battles! We’ll break down the core phases of the game, practice with test rolls, then pair off for friendly skirmishes using your freshly built Combat Patrols. This is about learning, not winning—expect plenty of guidance and support as you take your first steps as a Commander of the far future!
