Looking for a Magic experience that evolves with you? This league is all about progression, creativity, and building something awesome from the ground up—one pack at a time! Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned planeswalker, this format is designed to be approachable, exciting, and full of memorable moments.

Event Schedule

• 6 Sessions over 12 Weeks

• Every other Saturday. First meeting @ 12:00 PM

• Kickoff: Saturday, May 9th

The Set-Lock Challenge

At the start of the league, each player will:

• Choose one set from our available stock (from Avatar the Last Airbender to Secrets of Strixhaven for example)

• Receive 6 Play Booster packs from that set

• That set becomes your Set-Lock for the entire league

Your goal? Build, refine, and evolve your deck using only what you open (plus a tiny twist each week )

⚔️ Week 1 – The Beginning

• Build a 40-card deck from your 6 packs

• Play 3 rounds (Best of 1)

• Participation-based prizes for all players

League Progression

Each session, you’ll add 3 new packs and grow your deck, then compete in a 3 round event like before.

• Week 2: 50-card deck

• Week 3: 60-card deck

• Week 4: 60-card deck + 15-card sideboard

• Week 5: 60-card deck + 15-card sideboard (final chance to adjust your list)

• Week 6: Final League Tournament

⚠️ Deck sizes must be exact each week—no more, no less!

The purchase of your 3 packs will be your entry fee for each week of play.

Deckbuilding Rules

• You may only use cards opened during the league

• No cards from personal collections

• Each week:

• At least 2 packs must be from your Set-Lock

• 1 pack may be from another set or a Collector Booster

• Up to 10% of your deck may come from outside your Set-Lock

• Trading is allowed—but only with cards opened during the league

• Decklists tracked via the ManaBox app

• All rules operate on an honor system

League Goals & Vibe

This league is all about:

• Learning and improving over time

• Helping each other grow as players

• Keeping things fun, low-stakes, and rewarding

• ⚔️ Experiencing a format that feels like Standard—without the competitive pressure

Final Tournament & Prizes

• Must attend at least 5 of 6 sessions to qualify

• Prize pool scales based on total league participation

Grand Prize Raffle:

• A full Play Booster Box of Secrets of Strixhaven

• Awarded via raffle—so everyone has a shot!

Additional prizes will be distributed in tiered placement order from 1st to last
