Welcome War Gamers to the Golden Rhino Games Flames of War (Late War) Ladder and Toys for Tots
Event!
This event will Starts November 1st and will end January 1st.
with a SINGLE DAY tournament on November 10th for the Toys for Tots!!!
Players will challenge each other, swapping positions on the rank ladder, fighting it out to take the top spot and bragging rights as store champion.
How to participate:
Now that you’ve signed up and your name is on the board, it’s time to start challenges. Everyone will
start on the bottom rung of the ladder and will try to work their way up to the top. As a special event,
we will start off the campaign with a single day of games on Friday November 10th . This will be treated
like a normal tournament even with table fees, time limits and Swiss style scoring. And the end of the
single day event, players will move up the ladder based on their wins. Its then up to them to hold on to
their place in the ladder as the single challenges will start and continue on till January. Here’s how you
get and hold that top spot for bragging rights, store credit and a custom objective marker!
Event Rules;
Here’s how the challenge process works. After the single day event, those players who participated will
take their place on the ladder. All other players and late comers will start on the bottom rung of the
ladder and can challenge any other player on the next level. If the challenger wins they swap their
positions on the ladder. If the challenger loses, then the players stay where they are and that person
cannot challenge that person again until they have played another game.
If a player is challenged and refuses to play a game or is unable to play a game in a reasonable amount
of time, that player forfeits and the challenger swaps position with them on the ladder.
Starting off, since most players may start on the bottom rung, any two players can compete for a vacant
spot above them. The winner will move up a level in the ladder and the loser will have to challenge
another player for a chance to move up. This will also occur if the Top Spot holder achieves the Best
General rank and drops back down to the bottom or if a player has to leave the event.
Holding the Top Spot;
Once a player has made their way to the top of the ladder now they have to hold onto that position. A
player in the top spot must accept at least one challenge a week or they forfeit their position and drop
down a level. If they successfully defend the top spot 3 times, that player may choose to drop back
down to the lowest level a battle their way back up to the top for the Best General Prize.
Playing your Games and Scoring;
We recommend you play with 75pt forces for each of your games unless you and your opponent decide
you want to play with more or less points. Missions will be chosen from the Battle Matrix or Extended
Battle Matrix;
Players are not restricted to the same nation or army list for the duration of the ladder event, and your
forces do not have to be painted. Although, we will highly encourage Red vs Blue Match ups and the
best painted army may be eligible for a portion of the prize support pool.
For a game to count, it must be played at Golden Rhino Games and your scores given to a staff member
to record and make changes on the Ladder. To make a challenge, notify your challenge through the
Golden Rhino Discord Server or the South East Michigan Flames of War Facebook page. Players will be
required to leave an email or phone number for challenge notifications with the store if they cannot be
reached through the Discord or Facebook Messengers.
