In this three-hour workshop, Ian will guide you through essential painting tips and tricks to help you level up your painting game. Whether you’ve just started or want to refine your skills, this workshop will cover key techniques to enhance your models.
What You’ll Learn:
Brush care – Make your brushes last longer and perform better!
Color Theory - Understanding what colors work best together and others that don’t.
Thinning acrylic paints – Learn when thinning matters and how to get the perfect consistency.
Dry brushing vs overbrushing – Master these techniques to add depth and texture to your models.
Base coats – Discover the best ways to apply base coats for smooth, even coverage.
Brush control & highlighting – Get those crisp highlights in tight spaces and refine your detailing skills.
️ What You’ll Get:
All participants will receive a demo model to practice on during the class.
If you choose the $60 ticket, you'll also get a GSW Paint Set, Brush Soap, a Paint Palette, and new hobby brushes to keep when the class is over!
Participants are encouraged to bring models they’re currently working on, as well as any brushes or paints they prefer to use. This way, Ian can provide 1-on-1 advice on your specific project!
By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel more confident in your painting abilities and have a deeper understanding of how to use different acrylic paints. Whether you’re painting for tabletop games or display, this workshop will give you the tools to succeed.
