Warhammer 30,000 Beginner Escalation League!

Let's get started playing 3rd Edition Warhammer 30,000: Horus Heresy! It is the perfect time to build, paint, and learn!

League Timeline

Sign ups Open: Sunday, July 19th

League Begins: Sunday, August 16th

Learn the Game With Us!

During the first Chapter of this league Golden Rhino Games will host a Learn To Play for Warhammer 30k 3.0! The Learn To Play is the perfect time for new players to get into the game. Our store is a casual and fun environment, filled with a community that loves the game! After the first Chapter of our league we will have guided games where players can ask clarifying questions.

Escalate Your Army

Once we kick off the League players will get to play and grow their armies! Start with an army of 750pts in size and increase the size of your army each chapter! Check out the sister document for more details.

The League will consist of 2 week periods known as a Chapter. During a chapter players must play at least one game and report their scores. Optionally players may also write and add lore regarding the army they build and battle with!

At the end of a chapter players grow their armies, add 500pts in upgrades and/or new units!

The League will end with chapter 4, which will be 2250pts. After everyone has played their games we will finish off with an amazing event where players will get to show off their painted armies (and win prizes…) and fight against each other in a final battle (and win even more prizes)!

Hobby Support & Community

League participants won't be facing the challenges of the hobby alone.

We will be reserving special times throughout the week for players to come out and work on their armies with other community members. Our trained staff, known as Hobby Knights, will be available each night for more detailed help and assistance.

Our staff are experienced community members who can help answer questions, provide hobby advice, assist with army building, and introduce you to the wider Warhammer community.

Whether you need help assembling your first miniature, choosing your next unit, or understanding a tricky rule interaction, your Hobby Knight will be there to help.

Narrative

Warhammer 30,000 is a game set in a rich narrative and it's something that can be included in every game you play.

There will be a place in the discord for people to record their games for the historians to follow. Write a cool story for your growing army and detail the many battles they face! Take pictures and share them with the community!

Track your games! Dedicate your victory for the Warmaster or Emperor! Use our link in the Discord to input your match results. Look for updates on the war as it progresses!

As the narrative develops we will have big battles at the half way point and end of the League. 

Does your army follow the same path their brothers or supposed allies do? Who will you lead your forces for? The Emperor or the Warmaster?

The Goal

The Warhammer 30k: Horus Heresy Escalation League is designed to provide a comfortable, welcoming pace for learning the ins and outs of Warhammer 30,000. There is no expectation that you know every rule on day one.

By the end of this 8-week journey, you'll have:
